John Von Achen specializes in designing and facilitating customized training and development programs that assist organizations and individuals to reach their maximum potential. For John, objective when developing a customized training and development program is not only to enhance performance of the attendance, but also to assist participants in evaluating themselves and modifying their behavior.
John Von Achen and his team of highly trained professionals have developed a seven-step customization process that is not only complete in every detail, but really works.
STEP ONE
Objective Development
John begins with understanding (and assisting in the development of, if necessary) the specific objectives a client wants to be achieved. In order to assist clients with this critical aspect of the process, John and his team of professionals have developed a detailed system and process to clearly define the who, what and why of the training program to be developed.
STEP TWO
Organizational Assessment
Before any training and development begins, John and his team conduct an organizational assessment in order to clearly understand the environment the participants of the training work in. Information such organizational structure, policies, procedures and internal processes is reviewed to assist in this task, along with a review of the organizations market position, overall strategy and commercial activity.
STEP THREE
Individual Assessment
Using a series of surveys and questionnaires, a cross section of those to be included in the training are assessed and evaluated to determine their overall competency level and attitude. This information is shared and discussed with the client in order to design a training and development program that will challenge and enlighten participants, while satisfying the training and development objectives of the client.
STEP FOUR
Program Design
Once assessment is completed, all training and development programs are fully customized by John personally. A combination of lectures, seminars, demonstrations, workshops, Internet-based training and individual and team activities are then constructed to achieve the client’s objectives.
STEP FIVE
Conduct Customized and Objective Based Training
When the training and development program begins, from the start participants realize something is different. Since the proper research has been conducted in advance, participants feel more relaxed, open and respected. In addition, each training and development program includes a full set of course materials and can include multimedia presentations, audio and video materials, books and supplementary support materials upon request.
STEP SIX
Post Training Assessment
After the training and development program has been completed, participants can be assessed using several methodologies. At a minimum, participants are evaluated by questionnaire thirty days following the training program. All post training assessment can be conducted anonymously or in cooperation with the client.
STEP SEVEN
Continuing Training and Development
To insure the highest level of proficiency, participants may require additional training and development. Several opportunities are available on a monthly or bimonthly basis from John for participants to practice their new skills and further develop both professionally and personally.
